DIVISIONAL GRADE INFORMATION

Information on these programmes can be found on our Junior Club home page.

PRE-REGISTRATION PROCESS:
This season the club has initiated a pre-registration process.

This pre-registration form is for players who are in school Years 4 – 8, who want to play within the Saturday Divisional Grades (Div 1, 2, & 3) hard ball competition. This is for the club to attain probable numbers in the Divisional Grades for the upcoming season, so that we can move forward early in our planning of teams, Coaches, and pre-season trainings. Please note that this is not the official registration form.

The official registration is managed via the PlayHQ platform, and will be made available to parents when the Season has been setup by Otago Country Cricket. A link will be sent to parents later in Term 3. Fees for the season remain the same at $75 (families with three children enrolled in the Divisional are eligible for one free registration), and will be paid at the time of the official registration.

TEAM/DIVISION ALLOCATION:
Once registrations have closed, Coaches and Coordinators will be allocating participants into teams, age and relevant skill level/experience appropriate to the three divisions. Once teams have been finalised, Coaches or Co-ordinators will be in touch with their teams to provide further information.

TRAINING:
All trainings will be held at the Nets at the Wānaka Rec Centre. As advised during registration, the following training days and times may change slightly depending on Coach availability, and how many teams we have – but this will be discussed directly with team participants and parents. The start date will be confirmed by Coaches.

Div 3: Wednesdays 3:30pm
Div 2: Tuesdays 3:30pm
Div 1: Thursdays 3:30pm

GAMES START:
Saturday November 4th

PREP FOR THE SEASON:
If you have been involved before then you’ll know how it works. This information is for those new to the Club, or new to Divisional Grades.
If you have a playing shirt from last season please hunt this out, and bring it to your first training!

  • Your player will need white cricket pants, and will be provided with a Club playing shirt for the season.
  • Each team will have its own Kit Bag, so there are a few options for your child:
    > Use the gear in the kit bag
    > Bring their own gear
    > Mix and Match
  • Please note that a HELMET while batting is compulsory – there will be helmets in the team kit bag, although a lot of players prefer to own their own. Also – although available in the kit bag, an individually owned ABDOMINAL GUARD is advised for ALL players.
